Certainly pretty big numbers but most of it is just churn. A lot of VERY short term investors (many also very new) in the market at the moment - some with significant amounts of cash from some "lucky strikes".

Yesterday's 30.6m: $ in hand newbie - sees a bit of news that looks good - piles in - price goes up - more pile in - price goes down - all pile out.

Apart from flipping their trading parcels yesterday I'm not sure there would have been too much change in longer termers holdings.

Same as the last two big volume days last week. Some big over-reactions to what were two not that significant events (and yes, one was the ASX query).

The market always goes too far - whether it be up or down - then corrects with time. At the moment, those fluctuations are being exaggerated by the amount of "new money" in the spec market.

Flipping a trading parcel yesterday was a good way to take advantage of it.
