Bucephalus is in my (non-farmer) opinions obfuscating e.g. on their slide regarding useful life of bearer plants.
1) Bucephalus makes reference to University of California and states an almond tree only produces for 20 years. Yet we have Almond Board of Australia and SHV referencing "around 30 years".




2) The grapes reference is from ATO - it's regarding the time how many years the owner can declare deductions in taxation for the plant. I think most people who have visited a decent cellar door intuitively realise that a wine plant produces fruit longer than 20 years. Quote this article in Globe and Mail:

3) Bucephalus references for "good Macadamia" life span of 40 years which is give or take on the ball. As we know macadamias are native to Australia. They are a long-term investment, with orchards taking 7-10 years to reach full production and 12 years to break even. According to this Horticulture Innovation Australia Ltd study Benchmarking the macadamia industry 2015-2108: "Average long-term productivity per hectare was highest in the Central Queensland region". They have plotted the saleable kernel yield vs age of the trees as follows ("insufficient data was available for individual tree age categories in some regions, it was not possible to plot beyond 25-29 years within the Central Queensland (CQ) region").
