Hey, Sarge, it might be the "same old, same old" as it so often is with SPL. But we don't know where the push to hire him came from - could have been forced by the institutional investors. Here in the U.S., an activist investor would have long ago quietly acquired a significant stake in SPL, and together with like-minded institutions, made changes to the BoD and perhaps the CEO as well. That might have resulted in SPL being split into pieces and sold off, but we would have all made money.
