It's possible yes and is called the the abscopal effect.
It's a hypothesis in the treatment of metastatic cancer whereby shrinkage of untreated tumors occurs concurrently with shrinkage of tumors within the scope of the localized treatment. Basically as you describe, destroy one, release thehoundsvirus and it seeks out other metastases
