At this stage I don't even think they're minnows, not in the big picture of global technology. But, and this is the "blue sky" part, they are creating that market for themselves on many many fronts. Sure others will try to come up with other tech, it's inevitable, but when you can buy Halloysite off the shelf, cheaper than you can make your own nanotubes, why wouldn't your fancy new tech use that?

Not a lot of Halloysite deposits are commercially viable, impurities, wrong lengths and poor grades. Have a look at OAR for an example on this one.
