As a retail shareholder the decision tree looks like this:
- Can't raise extra cash, stay frosty.
- Can raise extra cash:
- Share price stays above $1.40 offer price -> take up entitlement near the end of the offer period.
- Share price goes below $1.40 offer price -> buy extra shares as wanted on the market.
- In the event of a short squeeze, both sell some or all of your shares and take up the entitlement, then buy shares back later once the dust settles.
This entitlement could be the last chance to obtain more shares cheaply before trial results confirm success of Tier 1 programs.
Effect of extra shares is marginal though. In my case current average buy price of $2.04 would only decrease to $1.99.
I am guessing the market will over react on Tuesday, go below the offer price, then slowly creep above it.
It won't go far above it due to the overhang of cheap extra shares that could be dumped after trading starts on 4th September of the New Shares issued under the Institutional Entitlement Offer.
I'll be watching closely and will act if a profitable opportunity arises.
