The clue was when they stopped posting the flow data. They have indeed been experiencing outflows.
I'm not sure what Brett's reason for leaving is, but I'll say two things.
1. The reason they gave is complete BS
2. He was never really critical to the business or it's success.
Hamish and the distribution team are. And it's likely they are the only ones who can turn it around.
