From an article Evaluation of Rare Earth Deposits by PL Hellman and RK Duncan Chi and Tian (2012) suggest that "prospective reserves"
in Southern China amount to 50Mt with quoted grades between 0.12 and 0.19% REO consisting of 57 - 92% REO in the ionic form (Chi and Tian, 2012, p 11). The article did mention that many cut off grades quoted by mining companies were probably too low to be viable.
