The morning for Myer holders is a tad disappointing but I think the selling will abate and the SP will improve as the effect of the announcement sinks in that it is not all that bad. Myer will survive and the worst is probably / very likely over. It can only get better now as the infection numbers dwindle and we are not far from lockdown ending in Victoria. The federal government subsidies for Victoria are fazing out due to Morrison's politicising the issues. He wants Victoria's labor government to fall in line, he wants it to fail, he wants to dominate us but he can't and is punishing all Victorians by withholding further financial assistance to those who need it as a result of the extended lockdown. That is just politics and should have no place in this situation. More support by the federal government would benefit Myer and all businesses and households in Vic. Myer will reopen before long and foot traffic in the city including Amazon customers will find its way to our store.
