    Their job keeper payments to casuals were not illegal nor deplorable. They were assisting staff in coping with the lockdown and being stood down. What they did with the govt jobkeeper was within the law. You should do some proper research. It was happening to other casuals in various industries, that they could be paid more than their usual earning as a casual. Basic award casual rates are not great and do not include sick leave or annual leave, so the jobkeeper payments gave some of them more as casual hours dried up. As a casual hours are often irregular and some periods less than one would like I imagine. A lot of people who worked full time hours and were stood down for periods got the same job keeper payment for not working the same hours. I think that was fair in fact, if people were getting paid by govt when working hours were reduced and employers paid the difference or if they became zero, that everyone should get the same benefit from govt. I don't see any valid objection to that or any illegality.
