Hi egosbar, It simply costs too much and takes too long to offer the cap raises to retail. The high net worth investors and insto's are assumed to have sufficient requisite knowledge about investing and thus don't require full prospectus etc. Plus they have the $$'s and less participants probably equals less admin etc. It's just quicker, easier and cheaper.
That's my understanding anyway.
