You have raised some fair points in regard to the uncertainty of the PEPR but I would just like to state one obvious point and that is that mining rarely gets any less invasive and destructive as a project like ADNs.

The over burden will be reestablished after the mining is completed and there is a fair chance it may be able to become suitable in the future for sheep grazing or wheat growing again. One thing is for certain there wont be a great big hole in the ground that is the norm for all major open pit mining operations. Given that and the fact that that part of the Eyre Peninsula is very lightly populated (Poochera is not quite a ghost town but not too far off it), there is I hope a lot of community support for the project as it could revitalise Poochera and give boost towns like beautiful Streaky Bay and other Ports that will be used to export our products from the Eyre Peninsula.

Time will tell, in the meantime I am not going to lose any sleep over the approval of the PEPR.
