April 1 is the start of the most important and productive quarters for a company listed on the ASX.
This period is often followed with a lot of activity, sometimes (depending on the company) an increase in announcements and stock price movements due to tax time and reporting. A very exciting quarter indeed.
This is basic stock trading and I include this in my research and due diligence. If you know you know, otherwise your trading blindly, a copy cat trader based on hopium and sheer luck.
Dates for Q1: January 1 – March 31. Dates for Q2: April 1 – June 30. Dates for Q3: July 1 – September 30. Dates for Q4: October 1 – December 31.
