Sorry if my postings have confused.

The first post is really my reflection of what will happen to the share price not the underlying business model, whilst the second post is about the business. The reality of the situation is that the surgery that PACT needs to go through will be costly in the short term. My view is that the SP will take a further hit (Note the rumors in the market is that 20% of the white collar workers at PACT have been laid off) this will be a costly exercise and will hit the profit numbers for this year. The will either be announced shortly as a revised projection for the year pulling down profit due to restructure. Longer term this will create more profit.

Ruffy's timing is very much specific. He knows that making such an audacious lowball bid now reaks of what ever, however he would know what is coming up over the next few months that may result in a change on mind for shareholders.

People keep forgetting, Ruffy built this up from a $200m industrial plastic business into the billion dollar monster it is. he knows the levers and drivers of profitability and he will turn it around but I think he wants to do that outside of the public eye.
