Flavio Garofalo is a finance and corporate executive with over 20 years of experience in the mining industry. He was commercial manager of Fortescue Metals Group and has held several other senior executive roles for ASX-listed mining companies including as general manager of finance, chief financial officer and company secretary. Mr Garofalo has extensive experience in project financing, capital raisings and investor relations for listed resources companies which have transitioned from exploration and development to production. He is a member of CPA Australia with operational experience in both major and junior mining companies and has worked in various jurisdictions including Africa, China and Australia. As chief financial officer of South Boulder Mines, Mr Garofalo transformed the corporate and accounting structures to reflect the changing nature of the company. He also has extensive corporate finance, investor relations and marketing experience gained from work with companies including Normandy Mining, Titan Resources NL and Kagara. He commenced his career in auditing at Coopers and Lybrand.
