As is plain to see, the kaolin (not halloysite kaolin) is a mauve colour (Great White's halloysite kaolin comes out of the ground almost pure white).

I imagine this is old stockpiled material that was considered too low grade to use pre-war. With the Donbas region only tens of kilometres from the Russian front line I could imagine that there processing plant isn't functioning but they could, with a front-end loader and truck, scavenge some old low-grade material.

It's also possible that this is actually higher grade kaolin that has been contaminated from ash from your Italian super volcano that is set to plunge Europe back into the Dark Ages.

Plenty of room to park a car there as well.
