Approx 200mil shares have been sold short since mid March. That's just under 10% of shares on issue.
Of course you can't sell short unless you have a shareholder to lend them out; that's where VG come in.
What was strange is that VG apparently don't buy anything outside the All Ords, but did on this occasion. And any mug punter would think if it's good enough for them at 35 odd cents it's good enough for me, so people kept buying pushing it into the 40's.
Little did we know they were probably in on it as well.
Strange too that VG have now left the building, at a considerable loss, less any kickbacks of course, for helping the shorters out.
All sounds very suss to me.
