Hi Pezz69. I think 'a starter plant' is actually just 'starter plant'. Now I don't know the mining process and hopefully someone could explain what happens at the start of a mining operation when ground is actually broken.

Could this simply be the starter plant is an excavator, a truck or two and then it's dropped on the ground near where the long lead items will eventually be placed. Some other starter plant could be front end loaders to then put into the processing plant.

I liken this to a new wheat farmer that is just starting out, they don't need the harvester and storage bins at the start, you would buy the sowing equipment etc etc first and start the process.
