Yet, he also clearly stated a few weeks from mid May. I’m sure he truly believed that at the time but this is the Zim govt., setting any expectations around their timing to do even the most minute task is fraught with danger. Today’s announcement is a very welcome break to the silence but will barely move the needle, the sentiment tide has turned against them, there was a window of opportunity to build the momentum and not only did they miss it, they poured cold water all over it. We’ll be lucky to have gazettal finalised by end of July which doesn’t help our farmin cause. Considering everything now hinges on gazettal, it’s gonna be a very lean run up to spud.
