Read over earlier comments here pre opening that seem to suggest this announcement was "reasonable, that shorters would get burnt, was in line with expectations, good given the circumstances" and wondered what I was missing cause it there was nothing like that in it for me.
Turns out I wasn't missing anything. It was as bad a result as I initially thought and broader market appears to have digested it the same way.
The initial cheer leading on page 1 looks like it was crafted to discourage readers from wanting to push on to page 3 where the GP and EBITDA numbers where screaming out in pain!!
Like it when the market's honest about a stock that tries to convince us otherwise!
