I think they are looking at targeting the high grades with open pits to get faster pay-off and then focus on the lower grades. Once the plant is paid-off they can mine at higher costs for longer and have 2 operations.
Enough profit to fund multiple projects and small divi.
Plus there is always a chance to discover few more high grade zones that can push the grades higher.
It's not bad approach - if they go down that path.
