Still on the Southern part of the tenement. It shows the similarity with Bethanga gold workings in Victoria ( We are on the border after all). Apparently they have the same Mineralisation to ours. With modern processing technology, these mines could be far more profitable than in the early 1900's.


Peep-o-day
The gold has a high fineness and is associated with quartz and sulphides. This is
possibly analogous to the Bethanga gold workings in Victoria where only 3% of the
gold is not confined in pyrite. The ore was historically considered to be partially
refractory, however a finer grind and modern process technology is likely to improve
the recovery (some of the historic assays show the tailings exceeded 60 g/t). The
Bethanga ore was successfully treated using a roasting and chlorination process.
Historic records state that the recovery suffered due to inappropriate milling
equipment. The reefs’ potentially extend to a significant depth, as the Bethanga gold
workings were taken to over 200 metres depth.
