I think when you "ark up" at somebody and claim or imply they are not doing any work, not doing their job, or that you know how to do it job better, then you are going to be treated with indifference and ignored. That's a reality in the corporate world as it is in the world generally. Respect, civility and fairness will usually get you the information you seek. Pounding the desk and weighing into people will usually get you written off as being too much hard work.
