I don't want to sound like I'm being petty here. But Shearer's remuneration package for FY'22 was $384,846 and $361,230 in FY'21. He has never taken home over $400k. His sidekick Grivas sucked out over $400k in FY'21.
I think the Company is heading in the right direction to a certain extent with the reigning in of the outrageous remuneration packages. However there are two words that concern me that may or may not have an impact on remuneration packages for next year. They are "consulting fees." It will be interesting to see how many and which NED's charge 'consulting fees' to take the place of equity-based remuneration.
That is the unknown at this stage. We can only take what the Company says on face value.
