Every share price is exactly what the "entire market" thinks of the company at the time, but the market is neither right nor wrong, it just is what it is. The key, of course, is to form a view about whether "the market" is under or over valuing a particular asset and take a position accordingly. Then you hope you were right, or at least that "the market" comes around to your way of thinking.
