I don't see link shareholders being offered $4 any time soon, but will admit that stranger things have happened before and there is a chance. The real question is if there is potential for another bid to push up the price, otherwise it looks like this scheme will get through with more certainty than the D&D clown fest. Especially after the outcomes of the previous bids.
That makes the sell proposition at current prices an interesting one, on the one hand you have potential for bidding, plus the partially franked dividend, or early cash on the other.
In the past taking the cash early proved to be the superior option, maybe this time it'll be different.
