First mining couldn't spend the exploration expenditure that Pickle Crow deserves on the count of their resources being tied up with another one of their projects which is about 5Moz in size.
So they prudently JV'd it out to a group who have a solid reputation in turning old abounded mines into potentially something special.
I'm quite surprised that no serious exploration has been conducted at Pickle Crow for all these years. PC gold was on the right path but it looks like they had difficultly raising the funds that they needed and were eventually bought out by First Mining.
