CardieX takes a step closer to world first wearable after signing manufacturing deal with Shenzhen-based Fenda Technology Co.
Australian medtech, CardieX Limited (ASX:CDX) has entered into a manufacturing & development partnership with Fenda Technology through subsidiary CONNEQT, as it prepares to release its range of world-first wearables with advanced heart monitoring features.
Fenda, a leading Chinese wireless solution provider and manufacturer of renowned smart wearable products, penned the three-year product development and manufacturing partnership with an initial focus on the CONNEQT Band. The deal will also extend to other devices in development by CONNEQT during the period.
“Our product development and manufacturing contract with Fenda is a key step toward the commercialisation of our CONNEQT Band, the world’s first AI-powered, FDA cleared, clinical grade smart health wearable featuring our unique dual-PPG sensing technology,” saidd Craig Cooper, CardieX CEO and managing director.
“Importantly, our development work with Fenda has been in process since April this year and we are well advanced on finalising our design and technical specifications for the CONNEQT Band as we continue our path towards FDA clearance and commercialisation.”
The Shenzhen-based manufacturer is globally recognised as a premier provider of intelligent hardware design services for smart wearables and currently manufactures the widely popular WHOOP wearable health performance device, as well as products for global electronics company Philips and others.
Its collaboration with CONNEQT will see a full suite of patented health parameters added to its new CONNEQT band as well as a comprehensive ecosystem of unique health and wellness features focused on heart health.
Andy Xio, CEO of Shenzhen Fenda Smart Technology, spoke confidently of the partnership.

In concert with this partnership, CardieX is expanding its footprint in Greater China with a key industrial design hire, Gordon Lau, to strategically accelerate CONNEQT’s development efforts with Fenda.
Gordon will work closely with CardieX’s senior director of Creative Services, Gene Yanku, a former creative executive at Nike, to ensure that best-in-class design is seamlessly manifested in the final CONNEQT Band device.
