SCL, I agree. The only plausible scenarios are
1. Tritium opted out of the 12 month exclusivity but if that were the case, and given almost certainly its RFT's largest customer, then why would RFT embark on a factory expansion. We know RFT still remain a preferred supplier to Tritium, so no disruption to sales volumes and in fact maybe the volumes are increasing ( contributing to the need for the 2nd factory shortly to be commissioned)
2. Alternatively. RFT opted out of the 12 month arrangement with Tritium, presumably to expand their customer base whilst still servicing Tritium. Cannot see this happening unless they were very confident of additional and identified sales opportunities with other clients also. Again the need for a 2nd factory.
Whichever way you cut it, this announcement is a positive
By the way, Singhg, thanks for clarifying the issue surrounding market sensitive announcements. Assuming then the company did not feel it necessary to provide guidance to the ASX because they felt it was not market sensitive, it demonstrates the company sees no flow-on negative commercial impact . The market reaction following the announcement is totally undeserved
