No I don't think so - drilling through certain zones will naturally release gas and liquids into the drilling mud from where the drill bit cuts and that will be picked up at the shakers as the circulating mud and the cuttings get separated and conditioned. A kick is when the surrounding formation releases into the well. Perhaps that happened but I'm not aware of that. If it happens then it needs to be controlled and gradually circulated out but it's not something that can be captured as a sample. Uncontrolled hydrocarbons to surface is a major risk factor and that's why the mud weight is critical, along with back pressures / choke settings and various other factors such as the ROP of the drill bit, weight down on the string. Hydrocarbons to surface is to be avoided when drilling, running casing, setting packers etc
A controlled hydrocarbons to surface would be either a flow test or else production and that requires specialised equipment
The wireline testing is not a process that involves a flow of hydrocarbons to surface. My understanding is that a section is packed off, the sample taken locally within the packed off zone and then the flushed through hydrocarbons within that zone will be easily circulated out with the mud
