I agree, very important and costly experience for most here.

"Back 12 months ago most on here(myself included) were cheating that Baz was going straight to a restart study and ordering long lead items and flying out crew to prepare the site for construction, buying cranes etc…. We all thought it was smart…."


We thought it was smart because we were told that CYM declined a substantial amount of money in the first raise for Nifty.

We were also told people were in the data room for months and months and lead on by Baz that finance was a done deal, that a number people who knew CYM were interested, that the project was robust.

We can learn from it but we only thought it was smart because of what we were told. Baz had inside knowledge throughout the whole process and continued to spend, spend and spend.

I've heard him say a long the lines of "we don't look at copper price, our project is robust and we expect Nifty to be profitable at $3.50. One could say he blatantly dismissed market conditions throughout.
