When I looked at the SP earlier this morning, NWH was $2.75. I originally thought I should hold on to my 40,000 share punt until $2.75, but as I tend to hang on to my share-market punts too long, I exited at $2.68. Now for the predicted crying over spilled milk, “boo hoo”.

On your new-found interest in modern slang, I looked at that link briefly, but could not get in again today. Anyhow, I think one of the entries was TSKTSK. The repetition of the letters reminded me of when my brother sent an email to a woman, and he typed "pioupiou" in the topic box. She asked what "pioupiou" meant, so I Googled it, and I learned that it was a French word applied to a male chicken, or an inexperienced person of low rank in the French army (similar to a Tommy in the British Army). I was later told that it was also used to describe a cocky young man in France.

It turned out that my brother, who often types nonsense in the topic block of his eMails, simply held his right hand over the adjacent UIOP keys on the Qwerty keyboard, and tapped PIOUPIOU, in what he called a paradiddle – in this case a four-finger RLRL taps to get PIOU, which he repeated to get PIOUPIOU. When I first ventured into investing, and posting on HC, I decided Pioupiou was an apt HC name for a brash newbie.

@Pioupiou last year when I was skiing at Le Deux Alpes in France with a friend and her kids the children’s beginner skiing area was labeled “pioupiou”, I guess that’s where the inexperienced chickens go to learn to ski .

The other ”paultry”... (haha, sorry) French anecdote I have is the year a friends wife decided she wanted to cook “coc au Vin” which properly should be prepared with a rooster rather than a hen. This required her to walk around all the providores in Nice saying “Je voudrais un coc silvous plait” (I would like a coc please)... I thought this was highly inappropriate for ones wife to be requesting in public
