Had a discussion with a person with good knowledge in the industry who said that Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries are the way to go for grid and power shifting applications. Lower cost, low fire risk. He thought ZnBr flow was and will always be too expensive in comparison to other technologies. May have been mentioned already but I just noted that AGL has gone LFP and is investigating Nickel Hydrogen for future/alternative. AGL would have looked at Redflow no doubt, and rejected it.
