Pretending they're no longer interested so that shareholders will panic and sell to them! What a dirty trick! It's as transparent as it is dirty, but given the current global situation, many holders are likely to be skitty and stupid enough to sell.

It's a cutthroat world where dirty tactics world because people are stupid. AUT is playing the game well.

What nonsense that AUT would want to change their minds based on EKA's news. Is anyone actually falling for that garbage? It's funny, even when the whole market knows that a move like this is BS, the whole market follows because the whole market knows the market will follow and the whole market doesn't want to be left behind.

The game is far from over though. AUT still obviously want EKA and will pay at least 45c to get it. Buying in at 45.5c will mean you can at least get 45c and likely 47-50c when AUT increases their bid. It's actually possible that AUT could try to be very cheeky and decrease their bid which might scare people into selling at 40c for fear of the share price going back into the 20s, but I don't think they'd quite pull that off.

It's a disappointing thing to watch, a demonstration of people being stupid enough to be manipulated by these tactics.
