Interesting that they were only informed on Friday - the share price action leading up to then would indicate a leak somewhere so I guess it must have come from elsewhere.
No real surprises in the announcement - it was pretty clear it wouldn't be the dendrimer technology although it does point to it not being as effective as we would have liked. E.g. if it was able to more critically target then maybe we would have seen a positive outcome at non-toxic dosages. The good news is it seems to have at least partially worked and quite a few of AstraZenecas trial results were not as convincing as they would have hoped, possible opportunities for the technology.
By far the biggest blow is though we still have many irons in the fire they nearly all now rely on in house commercialisation - certainly not our strong suite if past performance is used as guide.
