Always quick to jump on here, professing to be a genius.
Just like your calculations, the difference between 5 and 7 DOESN'T matter,
to me, although it seems to, to you.
Shows how little I know? I've probably FORGOTTEN more about
numbers, profit/loss, interest than you'll ever know.
And if I buy at 5, and it goes back to 3, what's the profit margin there????
That'd be a 40% loss ?
Just for interests sake, did you sell at 8, and buy back at 5?
You could have increased your holding by 60%.
Even better than the 52% your talking to me about.
You've totally missed the point though, I'll feel more comfortable
buying in the future, at 7, than what I would now, at 5.
And if it doesn't reach 7, no LOSS for me.
"WRONG!
shows how little you know about the compounding effect and leverage... you would get 40% less shares at 7"
If you want to come here and tell all and sundry, how to trade,
or the difference in numbers/percentages, you need to get it RIGHT.
Buying at 7, instead of 5, is NOT 40% less shares, but only 28.57%.
Thanks for the maths lesson just the same.
