On point commentary ChinaGold thank you - and certainly I have also speculated for some time regarding the duality (and beyond) of the cement / carbon capture opportunity for ADN in this space:

You raise some interesting comments regarding Boral, being an organization that has been (reference to follow):

“Far and away the leader in fly ash marketing and distribution for concrete and cement producers [Boral Resources]”.

A brief search turned up this reference from January 2020 concerning concrete products and the use of Pozzolans in concrete production “amid fly ash supply disruptions”:

Where the article becomes most interesting in so far as ADN is concerned is at the following juncture that specifically references Boral and an earlier deal involving the Utah, Dragon halloysite-kaolin mine:

”Most notable .... is Boral Resources’ acquisition of 4.5 million tons of natural pozzolan at the surface of the halloysite clay- and iron oxide-rich Dragon Mine, Utah.

Upon announcing the deal, Boral CM Services Vice President, Product & Business Development Rafic Minkara noted, “Extensive testing and characterization shows that the materials can be blended with several Western fly ash sources to extend the volume of concrete-quality pozzolans available in Western states markets. This material can deliver enhanced ASR mitigation when blended with some fly ashes.”

All of which is suggestive that the addition and use of halloysite-kaolin in concrete production has indeed been on Boral’s radar for some time now - and the natural extension of that state of affairs is that it would come as no surprise if Boral is now moving to shore up supply of similar material that could soon be available in massive abundance from the Great White deposit in Boral’s very own country of origin.

"Applied Minerals Inc (OTCMKTS:AMNL) CEO Andre Zeitoun tells Proactive Investors the New York-based halloysite clay manufacturer has recently sold 4.5 million tons of its extracted mixed clays and iron oxide material to a leading building products and construction materials group for $4.3 mln.

Applied Minerals produces halloysite clay and advanced natural iron oxide solutions from its Dragon Mine property in Utah.

That youtube video is from September 2018. To make a purchase of 4.5Mt of overburden halloysite mix tells me they were researching it prior to this date.

There is research on meta halloysite out of Poland from 2017.

Boral's own comments you posted mention they have done extensive research already.

Considering

Boral are an Australian based building materials company.
They used to have a US operation but wikipedia says they sold that in May 2021.
Maybe they need a new supply of HK now.
I wonder how close they are to actually using it in a commercial concrete product.
It appearsVictoria are bringing forward the closure of 2 more coal power stations and it's a general trend with CaTaStRoPhIc climate change.

They did get that material for only $1 per t. So I wonder what we can actually sell our overburden/off spec HK for.
IIRC JM has used numbers far greater than what we sell HK to the ceramics and paint for, but I think we'd be happy yo take similar numbers for it considering 1. it's waste material 2. the processing is minimal.

Can't wait for the JORC and to see where it goes.
