Why couldn't GMV obtain the $$$ (short-term funding) elsewhere?
Maybe the CEO is concerned by the current cash burn - as per the last quarterly - that the business could technically become insolvent in the next quarter unless projected sales figures are somehow realised.
Anyhow, it's a risky game basing your investment thesis on hope! Again, averaging down on a speculative stock is a fools game.
Until we see some hard sales figures, GMV is a high-risk investment. I reckon the smart money have already departed....
