I doubt that Shearer had that kind of sway over the company or information coming out of it. He probably knew this information was about to hit the market and jumped ship accordingly. I'd be surprised if he hasn't been selling on market over the last 48 hours.

To my mind this is all driven by the inability to secure finance and/or BOAs. If you were a conspiracy theorist, you might think it was a deliberate ploy to drive down the SP in preparation for a takeover. Whatever the reality, the AGM is going to be another Christians vs Lions job.

There's certainly a road back from here but it's going to be very, very long, not just in terms of building production but also in winning back trust. Fortunately I don't need money from this stock in the next three years; if I thought I did then I'd probably have sold and ran.
