Crikey - cash position is worse than expected - and they are relying on roughly $1mil from the R&D payment to remain cash positive. That is a precarious financial situation to be in.
At the current burn rate, they have less than 1 qtr of cash available (.44 of a qtr of funds available).
Simply put, they will battle to reach November (option date) and there is nothing in the report to support a rise in the SP to over six cents in that time parameter.
To those who vehemently denied the possibility of an "imminent" CR, I think that humble pie needs to be consumed.
Not sure about the timing of the receipt of the R&D payment but I do suspect that it would be incredibly bad financial management to rely on that when funds are so low.
This report is very concerning.
One positive is that they do mention that the antiviral road is being looked into as a future path. It does, however, indicate that confidence on the HIV/COVID trials to lift the SP is not evident.
