Actually you could infer something from Novartis' response in abandoning the provisional agreement. That after a year of poring over the Covid trial data, they couldn't find even a shred of evidence of efficacy in ARDS that was worth the time, effort and money of any further research. Depsite SI's claims of "success" after some data dredging.
