I agree ruffstar, we are moving towards some important milestones, some of which could easily see the company re-rated. I will be watching with interest.
On my holiday I did a bit of reading, some factoids below.
- About 50-75% of Victoria's power generation comes from brown coal. link
- The Exergen technology reduces the emissions in excess of 40%, to be on par with coal seam gas power generation. "Exergen's CHTD treated coal would have a similar carbon footprint as an open cycle gas turbine used for peak power generation." link
- The Exergen technology is currently has a very low capex and opex compared to other coal drying techniques. "Dr Hamilton, who hopes to have the plant operating in 2014 if all goes well, said the process was competitive as long as the Newcastle coal price, stayed above $US55." link
