look, it's not a political thread... but some points:
so in spite of their incompetence as you state, we had conditions very very favourable for businesses and consumers..sure some of it was cyclical, but pro business initiatives and fta's signed under Abbott helped a lot, despite obvious hiccups with China.
Media crucified Taylor and Roberts, the former had a very bad deal from them and likely did nothing wrong...Roberts a bit more hazy but likely likewise.
Robodebt: read Paul Kelly's article from a few weeks ago... and yes he's an "old" Labor man.
Morrison and ministries; yes, not a great look... but extraordinary times.
the finances you didn't really mention... but given Labor has kept spending pretty well since election till now, plus has not increased taxes, the favourable ongoing finances of the government are more due to the previous incumbents.
banking Royal Commission... implemented most of those... mind you some of us think it a waste of time and a media stunt
aged care ownership... one or maybe two takeovers have happened under Labor
gas policy: strange accusations.... long been dominated by those with big wallets...e.g the NW shelf was nearly all foreign bar BHP and Woodside...Woodside stopped from foreign buyout by Costello
Qld CSG.. the Ossies were falling over themselves to sell out or down...Sto and Org I mean...QGC taken over by BG ( yes under coalition most likely) , then BG by Shell. The reality the project would not have been developed without selling to big Multinationals, some who normally guaranteed a market or a quantity of offtake. Org sold 10% about 2 yr ago... for woke reasons, and gave it away at a bargain price.
Arrow was taken by Chinese and Shell ( under Rudd) and their shareholders have torn up billions , but lots money spent in Qld. WA Perth Basin has mainly Ossies, as does The Cooper Basin.
