Clearly if a Govt issues a mining lease, and then after the mining company spends money to explore, and then a GOVT agency then declines the lease on cockatoos habitat etc, of course the company would have a legitimate reason to sue for costs and damages, because, that Govt should have done all the research before putting a lease up for tender idiot.
If you go back far enough you will most likely find the WA Govt initially granted these leases for tender yurp. I can't be bothered looking that up , if crown land then definately a Govt job lamo
