Sorry i meant half of KDR's original lithium resource rather than half of KDR. I consider half of the lithium resource and the whole of KDR to be almost interchangeable. Doubt the KDR assets other than the lithium resource are worth sweet f all.
WES is essentually buying half of the Mt Holland lithium resource by buying KDR. SQM bought the other half from KDR for next to nothing.
The way i see it was that KDR knew they couldnt do it alone so sold the first half dirt cheap to SQM so that SQM would 'carry' them. Id argue that if they were just going to sell the whole thing anyway they could have gotten a lot more for that first half of the resource especially at that time. Look at what MIN sold half of Wodgina for.
