Not young. Or possibly not, depending on how old you are! Just haven't ever looked closely at how the voting system works. My lack of understanding presumed that not voting meant I'd be recorded as having abstained. So I have learnt something.
I usually vote, but only when I have a firm view and an understanding of the implications of the motion. I may have to vote to abstain on some future occasions now!
