Back of the envelope calculation...
Over 300-350 million shares traded hands at close to or more than $3. Owner(s) of these shares will definitely vote NO to Albermarle's $3 offer. That equates to around 7% of outstanding 2.2 billion shares.
Diehard retail lionnaires will vote NO as well.
I guess another 300-350 million shares traded above $3 in the coming weeks (days?) will be the nail in the coffin of Albermarle's bid.
