Yes, that is correct. But if it is new money going into either LTR or another stock the treatment is the same. The assumption is that the time periods are exactly the same. If the new stock is held longer than 12 months then there is favorable treatment for the new stock compared to LTR (subject to the deal being completed before 12 months).
