I've been thinking on similar lines Gavtech.

Why the recent and ongoing buying strength around these levels unless it's considered a good punt that the deal is likely to be sweetened?

I sold mine on market and the NO vote probably became YES in the namds of new holders. Those I held in Super have already realised the dividend, unfranked as it was...and insufficient to wash away the 'bad taste' in its entirety.

Anyway life's journey of learning continues, and I've learned that greed and questionable ethics go hand in hand, no matter how pleasant the face belonging to them.
