I am not a holder but I have been watching this stock.

Social responsibility in mining in Philippines is a must. I think MML management is wise to create Social Equity by supporting the local community and getting them on their side.

They are in the Philippines and if the local community is not on their side. They would certainly get in trouble.

Just look at what happend with OGC.

Given the risks of the environment in which they operate, I think they should save as much cash as possible just in case things go wrong, like a mine closure, etc. Then they could pack and leave. or have enough cash to fight back. KCN almost went broke when the Thai government shut their mine.

Dividends are good but I think MML can use that cash to diversify into another jurisdiction. IMO
